Buying a train ticket for the first time feels easy until you have three tabs open and are not sure which one to trust. This note keeps things simple: prepare a few details, decide how you want to buy, and keep confirmations in one place.
Prepare the basics
Write down who is travelling, the day you prefer and whether you need a return. Keep your Emirates ID or passport details at hand, because travel documents may be checked on the day.
Check times on the operator’s channels
Timetables and fares are set by the rail operator and can change. Check them directly before you fix your plans. We deliberately do not copy them here, so you never rely on an old number.
Buy on the operator’s page
Seats are booked on the operator’s own channels. If a step on that page is unclear, write to our desk and we will point you to the right place. We do not book the seat for you.
Keep your confirmation handy
Save the confirmation email offline on your phone. Mobile signal at stations is usually fine, but a saved copy saves stress.
